The Weather at Baringo

The Lake remains high but has dropped approximately 50 cms from its high point on October 20^th 2007. Due to hot dry weather it is now falling by about 1.5 cms a day. Next rains due in April

Baringo is now dry as a bone. The rain which was expected in late December/early January has not come, which is quite unfortunate given the hardships already being suffered by everyone here. The Ndau River which prevented access to Baringo in September due to the torrents of water is now absolutely dry and is passable in any vehicle.

Weather is hot - about 33 — 39 degrees Celsius.

Mosquitoes - not too bad!
